Today is Anton and Pointy's first day in Ohio. We got candy also. They arrived safty from Germany. They came to our second grade at Maryland school in Bexley, Ohio, USA
	Anton and Pointy loved learning how to play math games and other drills on the computer. They also enjoyed e-mailing their friends back in Germany. They had fun seeing themselves on their web page!
Anton and Pointy really were interested in learning all about the Statue of Liberty and immigration. They read about the Statue of Liberty and saw many pictures of her. They learned that she was a symbol of welcome and freedom for all those people coming to America. She was a gift from France.
	Anton and Pointy love our classroom pet, Shelly, the turtle. THey like for us to take Shelly out of her cage and run races with her on the classroom floor. The three of them got to be friends while Anton and Pointy were visiting our school. The boys and girls in second grade Maryland Ave Elemantary school really enjoyed being with Anton and Pointy. We all hope they can come back to visit us again sometime.
They like to jump on mine ( Justin) and Morgan's lap, when Mrs Blanchard starts to read a book. Pointy likes to jump on my lap and Anton likes to jump on Morgan's lap. After the book Anton and Pointy like to talk with us about the book. Once Pointy and I were reading a math book and I asked him what 100 x100 was and he said 10.000. I said "Good job Ponity. You are right "! Anton reading a chapter book and I said " Great job Anton!" " You are very smart"
